Ford Honors Hanon Systems with World Excellence Award
Company honored for superior quality, delivery and cost performance
DEARBORN, May 22, 2017 – Global automotive supplier Hanon Systems (KS:018880) has earned the prestigious World Excellence Award from Ford Motor Company. The award was presented Wednesday at the automaker’s 19th annual event held at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich.
Hanon Systems received the Gold Award for its superior quality, delivery and cost performance at the company’s Pyeongtaek manufacturing facility in South Korea, which produces air conditioning compressors to Ford and other global automakers.
“Customers are our top priority and this award affirms the relentless effort of our teams at Hanon Systems to operate with excellence and deliver value,” said In-Young Lee, president and chief executive officer of Hanon Systems. “We are honored to receive this important customer recognition.”
The World Excellence Awards are Ford's highest recognition for its suppliers around the world.
Hanon Systems was one of 54 companies honored by the automaker at the event and one of only 12 suppliers receiving the Gold Award.
